The launch of Tokyo Fashion District – Isetan The Japan Store
Isetan Kuala Lumpur surprised us with a new shopping experience featuring high-end Japanese labels through a series of pop-up stores. The series kicked off with its first instalment at Art Printing Works, Bangsar showcasing a dozen of Japanese fashion, apparels and bags from labels such as PORTER, master of oversized knitwear Akane Utsunomiya, kolor, mastermind JAPAN, the punk godfather Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER and the Americana-obsessed designer Daisuke Obana’s N.HOOLYWOOD. Aside from fashion feed, there is also a Can Tsuma Bar – a casual F&B corner that introduces the raging Japanese trend of premium-canned cuisine.
The second installation is set to take place in March featuring Japanese jewellery, designer interior decor and edgy lifestyle accessories, with details to be announced later. This series of Tokyo Fashion District – Isetan The Japan Store is a teaser to a full-fledged departmental store in the existing Lot 10 branch which will be completed with a total interior facelift some time in the end of October this this year.
