We were recently in Tokyo again to shoot Hiroshi Fujiwara for the Converse One Star ’74 collection he worked on.
Taking inspiration from skate culture, the shoes combine modern construction details celebrating the first and original One Star sneaker, an early skateboarding classic from 1974. The collection features unique fragment design detailing, such as Hiroshi’s signature midsole branding and suggestive labelling.
The sneakers embody the timeless, premium and crafted ethos that Hiroshi Fujiwara represents. The re-crafted Converse One Star ’74 design utilizes premium hairy suede uppers, with an organic cotton Star logo and the iconic fragment design thunderbolt branding highlighted on the heel stay in volt green. They also feature drop-in Lunarlon sockliners for superior cushioning and come in two classic colorways: white and blue.
The Converse One Star ’74 fragment design Collection is a First String release and will be available at select Converse stores, online at Converse.com and at select retailers starting Friday, March 25, 2016.
