The Levi’s Commuter Trucker Jacket with Jacquard by Google is the first product from the collaboration since their first discussion two years ago to use a newly designed conductive fabric to allow garment to send data and power without the need for wires.
Made for urban commuters, the denim jacket is specifically designed to be comfortable for cycling, with retro reflective accents, stretch fabric in the shoulder, openings in the back for ventilation, and a dropped hem in the back.
The flexible snap tag is clipped to the cuff which then connects the Jacquard Threads in the jacket to the mobile device in order to perform common digital tasks such like controlling music, getting directions, reading messages – by simply brushing or tapping the sleeves.
The Levi’s Commuter Trucker Jacket with Jacquard by Google will on sale from Oct 2 in select Levi’s stores in US, and online. No word to the availability outside of US yet so keep a lookout on the updates.
