Looking for interesting places to dine, drink, dance and dig for rare records in Bangkok?
Well, this week, we’re introducing you to Bangkok-based DJ/entrepreneur, Maft Sai. He is the co-owner of Studio Lam, Zudrangma Records, SaNgaa beef noodles and producer of Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band.
Here’s a look at the 3 main places you are most likely to catch him at:
If you’re in Bangkok and looking for ethnic sounds from all over the world to add to your record collection, then Zudrangma Records is your go-to place. If you can’t make the journey down, do tune in to their weekly live streamed radio show.
Studio Lam is that place to go if you’re looking to soak in non-mainstream music that ranges from live Molam bands to Afrobeat to Dangdut to Techno. Their assortment of unique own-brewed traditional Thai alcohol – Ya Dong – fuses the old with the new and is a must-try.
Situated in right in between Studio Lam and Zudrangma Records, SaNgaa serves up tasty halal chicken/beef noodles based on a 60 year old family recipe with fresh farm produce coming from their own farm in Khao Yai.
