Nike’s VaporMax Goes Sustainable

Made from at least 50% recycled materials, the Air VaporMax 2020 Flyknit is one of Nike’s most sustainable shoes to date.

The new shoes expand upon the sustainable design ethos introduced by the recentlylaunched Space Hippie collection. The all-new full-length VaporMax Air soles are made from around 75% recycled materials, whilst the Flyknit yarn uppers are made from about 67% recycled content that include plastic bottle waste.

Other sustainable stats include 50% recycled content in the molded dual-density Ortholite sockliners, 80% recycled foam in the tongues and 60% recycled TPU on theheel/toe tips.

The shoes also feature Nike’s FlyEase lacing system for a quick and secure fit by justpulling the “Lock” tabs on the heels.
