Streething X Nike presents FORCE
As all of you would’ve known, Saddam’s reign of terror has been officially ended at the end of 2006. (We need oil b*tch!)
To kick off the New Year, Nike celebrated its twenty five year anniversary of the iconic legendary basketball shoe, the Nike Air Force 1
On the 27th of January, Streething x Nike Malaysia congregated the party and launch of the much hyped anticipated 25th Anniversary Nike Air Force 1 collection. The event was held at the ever-posh Bar Bond in Avenue K, Kuala Lumpur.
A huge collection of the rarest AF1 including the AF1 All Star Denver and AF1 Mr Cartoon Webtoe were on display during the event (catastrophically poisoning!) and the Old Six and New Six AF1’s too. Also not forgetting, up on display and auction was the AF1 Lux collection, Anaconda and Crocodile in two huge Plexiglas cases.
Highlights of the night are performances by our very own Streething celebrity/rapper, Point Blanc with Wordsmanifest belting out a number of tunes including a song in tribute to the prodigious shoe, “Let yo’ Air Force shine”.
The Killer Gerbil was up in KL as well for the launch party and performed a live installation on canvas.
Showering extra love for the night is of course the showcase of Malaysian & Singaporean Streething members, Skinner, SICK, Spoonman, The Killer Gerbil, White Soldier X NiveK and Ol’ Charlie’s custom Air Force 1’s in conjunction of the celebration. Superb unique detailing on all six pairs of shoes.
To top it all off, DJ’s Goldfish and Blink were damn right droppin’ sick dirty hip hop beats throughout the night!
Many thanks to all the Streething members for helping out (and to partayyy!) and Nike Malaysia for holding up the marvelous celebration of the 25th Anniversary Air Force One! We wouldn’t have done it without you guys!
