‘House O’ by Sou Fujimoto
By streething, June 1, 2011

Designed by Sou Fujimoto, House O is located at the suburbs of Tokyo, atop a rocky outcrop that faces the Pacific Ocean. Requested to build a house with uninterrupted flow towards to the ocean, the architect used ceiling-to-floor glass windows that spreads throughout the entire living area, kitchen and study. Organic flow is also present leading to the sleeping quarters where there are no doors but offer privacy by being situated at sharp corners.
The villa also has a flat roof that gives a spectacular, unobstructed view of the ocean. If only holidays were made of these.
