changeling (6.5/10):
based on a true story, with some relatively good acting. unfortunately, not from the leading actress angelina jolie; i found myself concentrating on the other emotions of the other people. it seems like jolie's expression is the same all the time. plot is okay, though. worth a watch.

the curious case of benjamin button (6/10):
now, i had heard good things about this movie and was anticipating it. however, i was disappointed. for one, the damn movie was almost 3 hours long! my arse was sore halfway through the movie. many of the characters/sub-plots in the movie was disjointed and had no real coherence between each other. the story also made no sense at all whatsoever. i wouldn't watch it. not even if it was for free.

kate hudson. hubba hubba. and that chick from brokeback mountain... what's her name? anne hathaway? well, she is fine nowadays. chick-flick which doesn't require much mind. easy going pace, and wholly predictable. but still, not a bad choice if you have nothing else to watch.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
It would be impossible for me to miss out on this movie because I am a crazed fan of Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johannsen and Barcelona. Enjoyable and accessible film in a fantastic setting, with some very surprising scenes here and there.

Shop Around the Corner (1940)
A black and white classic romantic comedy that was the precursor to the movie You've Got Mail. As I compare it with its modern day version, I begin to realize the simplicity in the script and dialogue of early movies. Still, a heartwarming movie with charming characters set in a romantic Budapest- and not forgetting the typical kiss-and-embrace at the end of the movie.

Slumdog Millionaire
I now understand what made this movie the global success that it is. Realistic,great cinematography, well paced and thought out storyline, funny, romantic, suspenseful. Occasionally that over-the-top Bollywoodness would pop its head. Some elements of this movie has similarities with City of God. Soundtrack's a blast too.

IMO,Way way too many flaws for this movie...They're like:-

1. Chun Li doesn't wear her Cheong Sam like in the video game

2. Come on laa...the Chun Li and Vega face off was toooooo short...

3. The club scene where Chun Li did this dance...shiiittt..wat the hell was that?

4. Chris Klein didn't look natural at all playing that role ...%$%^ man...The dude should have just stayed with American Pie....

5. Lastly...the only thing good about the Thai chick cop in the movie was her cleavage action....

Then again, this is just from my particular point of view...
