’3D Printed Guns’ Documentary by Motherboard (Vice Media)
When I first saw a 3D printer spit out something in real life, I was rather shocked. I always thought that all this 3D Makerbot stuff on the net was still in prototype stages. However, consumer 3D printing is real and mainstream usage is getting closer, very soon we'll be able to download CAD files off the net and print out our own designer toys, household items and as this documentary by Motherboard highlights – guns. Not only does it give an insight into the imminent democratisation of plastic goods, but it also challenges gun control Law in the US. A must watch.
