Since 1966, The North Face has been kitting adventurers, athletes and explorers out in their innovative and hard-wearing gear. In the 1980s, they created the ICON collection, which was designed to be taken into the harshest regions of outdoor expeditions. Fast forward a good few decades later, these garments and bags are still as functional as ever, but with the added twist that outdoor/hiking style has been assimilated into fashion and lifestyle.
For the first time in the Asia-Pacific region, as part of the ICON series, The North Face will be reintroducing the classic 1990 Mountain Jacket GTX II, 1996 Retro Nuptse Jacket and Vest, as well as the 1978 Base Camp Duffel. These products have withstood the test of time of both functionality and style.
The boxy fit of the Nuptse goose down jacket and vest harkens back to the golden age of ‘90s hip-hop, whilst the more low-profile weatherproof 1990 Mountain Jacket is easy to wear with anything. Finally, the Base Camp Duffel (available in five sizes, XS to XL) is a must-have, not only is it built-to-last with its tough vinyl exterior, it can be collapsed into an included cover and is great for travel due to its durability and padded shoulder straps that allow it to be comfortably worn like a backpack.
The North Face ICON collection is available now in Singapore exclusively at The North Face Store at Marina Bay Sands.
