New Balance and Kim Dohee, from experimental label XLIM, come together to introduce the archival 509 model. Conceptualised to the theme of Ever-changing, Kim Dohee reimagined the U509 from a fresh perspective by harmoniously blending various materials into a single shoe, and utilizing ice dyeing to on apparels to achieve irregular and unpredictable results.
Released exclusively in Asia, the retro running shoe has been given a sophisticated makeover that combines glossy synthetic leather uppers and air mesh for a sleek design. The shoe is accented with mismatched N logos and features an ABZORB midsole for comfort.
The U509 in Black and Purple is available 18 October in Korea and Japan.
